(Talking to Myself) On Work

Career and what we do for a living is an integral part of life. It is a huge decision when someone chooses to change careers. It is a huge chunk of how we spend our time and gives us liberties (resources specifically!) to live well. How much should we identify with our career? How does what we do for a living relate to one's life purpose?

The trick is awareness to consciously allow the elements that make up life, including the job, work for you. This also includes your life purpose. Your life purpose and your job are meant to enhance your life. They are not meant to define one or one's life. You are the ultimate master of your life. You are not a victim of your own fate.

You are already validated. You already count. You have already proven yourself, your worth. You are already loved. What next?

Whether you know your purpose or not, don't let it rule you. Living that purpose and choosing to honor it are also a choice. Therefore you have the choice to do other things with your life too.

Live a life you choose. When you have this energy working for you - it can feel good to be responsible and to do things for yourself.
